Diana Krall at Meadow Brook Music Theater

The venue was beautiful, I would like to mention that first of all. The show, OK. It was very peaceful and romantic. Most of the songs were by artists past and present, Folk songs. I don't care for Tom Waits, but it was more upbeat than what I have been exposed to concerning Mr. Waits when Arturo Sandoval did a song of his. A wonderful version of The Mama's and The Papa's hit, "California Dreaming," she did. Each band member was spotlighted in different songs showcasing their individual instruments and expertise. I was a little disappointed overall. Not more songs that I would have expected to hear like, "S'Wonderful" and "Cry Me A River." Aside from that, I would go see Arturo Sandoval again and again. The experience was worth the drive and minor roadway hassles just to get to the show itself.
